Joaquín "Ma" Álvarez is returning to the CSL (China League Soccer) after his stint in the United States.

The 26-year-old forward joined the San Francisco River FC, a team based in California, back in January 2018. He spent three years with the River FC before leaving for the United States to play in Major League Soccer (MLS).

In his last season in MLS, he scored 4 goals and provided 7 assists, earning him praise from many fans and scouts across North America. However, his time away from the pitch was not without its challenges.

After spending time in the minors, including playing for the New England Revolution in the USL Pro, he returned to the United States and signed with the Los Angeles Galaxy. While there, he continued to impress and earned the attention of several teams around the league.

In 2020, Ma returned to the CSL where he has been playing since 2019. The move to China comes at a time when the league is looking to strengthen its talent pool by bringing in foreign players. Ma's return will be seen as a positive development for the CSL, which is known for its youth development program.

While Ma's journey to the CSL has been a challenging one, it also represents a significant step towards his goal of becoming a regular starter in the CSL. With his experience and skills, he can help lead the team to success in the future.
