Monaco have secured their Ligue 1 title after a dramatic win over Lyon on Saturday.

The match was played at the Stade Louis II and saw Ben Yedder score the only goal of the game in the first half.

The victory means that Monaco will be crowned champions for the second consecutive season, having also won the Coupe de France earlier this month.

Yedder's goal came just three minutes into the match and it was a well-deserved winner for the French striker.

He had been involved in all of Monaco's goals in the league so far this season, scoring six times in 16 appearances.

His goal gave Monaco the lead and they went on to dominate the rest of the game, with Moussa Dembélé and Hakim Ziyech also finding the back of the net in the second half.

It was a fitting end to a fantastic season for Monaco, who have finished top of the table for the past two seasons.

They now look set to defend their title next season, with Yedder one of their key players.

Lyon were unable to find a way through the Monaco defence, despite creating plenty of chances.

Their defeat leaves them in second place in the table, but they will still hope to finish the season strongly and make a push for the Europa League.
